The following instructions are guidelines to be used in measuring for a tuxedo, please enlist the help of a friend. * It must be remembered that these are only guidelines and that there are exceptions to any rule.

How to measure for correct size
3. Measure the Overarm-
2. Measure the Chest-
4. Measure the Outseam-
5. Measure the Neck-
6. Measure the Sleeve-
Wrap the tape measure around their waist snugly at navel height
(Formal trousers are worn slightly higher than normal slacks)
Wrap tape well up under the arms straight across back over the widest part of the shoulder blades and over the chest in front. The tape should be snug but not tight.
Wrap the tape measure around the chest over the biceps snug but not tight.
Adjust your pants to where they feel comfortable. measure from the top of the waistband to the heel line of the shoe or, to the floor barefoot.
Gently wrap the measuring tape around the neck leaving room for one finger between the neck and collar.
With the coat off and arms hanging normally to the side, measure from the top vertebrae, over the high point of the shoulder, down the arm to 1" below the wrist bone.
